the cell phone thing was bugging me big time because my phone won't comfortably fit in the coin slot & if i put it in the cupholder, the lid won't close, but i saw somewhere in the southern cal s2000 website where they (with adhesive) attached the phone to the front dash. i couldn't find that thing in any auto stores but i actually finally found this awesome little device at rite aid.
you add one magnet to the phone and one to the base & they click and it's STRONG! unlike the $15 thing at brookstone.
it also acts as a "clock" for me when i flip my phone open & it's TOTALLY hands-free when you use the handsfree headsets.
CD's i just toss in the regular glove compartment. the elastic thing, i used to use it to hold on to my sunglasses, but i bought this thing at the sunglass hut that attaches to the visor (like a garage remote holder) to act as a sunglass holder. i miss the sunglass holder in the accords.
i want to buy a radar detector, but haven't a clue where to put it. don't want it on the front windshield, and i don't wnat to turn my head back to look at it.
Over here we have CD changers in the trunk so I keep my CDs in my Trunk Lid Saddlebag. Small stuff, cellphone, street directory, pens, PDA etc I keep in my Seat Satchel which is mounted on the hooks behind my passenger seat.
1/5: My cell phone generally goes 1 of 2 places - either in between my legs (sitting on the seat), or in the glove box door elastic band. The former depends on how you sit, being tall I usually keep the seat 3 clicks forward and have my legs spread out a bit with my knees bent, so the phone rests nicely in between and doesn't go flying around in corners/braking. On long drives (when I move around in my seating position more) I'll turn the ringer up and stick it in the elastic band, if it rings I can flip the door and see who is calling and easily answer it. I usually have my earpiece hooked up too, so I can just drop the door and hit "talk".
2. I have 2 cases - my main case which is 224 cds, which obviously goes on the passenger seat (or trunk if I have a co-pilot). I also carry a single jewel case and stick 3-4 cds in it that I actually plan to listen to, and keep that in the glove box (a jewel case fits nicely under the trunk release button).
3. Don't have one - but I'd suggest either the forward pocket of the secret compartment (pad it with an old glove or something?) or jam it into the cup holder (depends on how big it is of course).
4. I keep my owners manual in my Muz trunklid storage thingy... not sure what the slots were intended for.
Generally I keep my driving gloves, registration, my FRS radios, and sunblock in the secret compartment. If I bring my digital camera along, I'll use one of the gloves and make a liner in the forward pocket. I generally keep my house keys, another bottle of sunblock, lip balm, and my sunglass case in the glovebox. I stuff a few hats under the passenger seat (2 junk ones, and a nice hat to wear into places without having hat hair)
1. when in the car, my phone goes into glove box. i have "modifry's glovebox organizer" and one slot it makes is perfect size for my phone. i don't use cell phone when i drive... you don't HAVE to answer your phone- that's why there's answering machine.
2. between center console and passenger seat, there's a little gap the is perfect for cd- holders. i use that gap.
3. i have teeny- tiny programmable opener that fits in the slot behind the cup holder.
4. um... i don't know... but i put my manual and other paper stuff in the slot of tool holder in the trunk. for secret compartment, the front one with the padding i put my sunglasses, and for the second one, i put my "car- wallet" that has emergency money, registration, insurance...
1. My cell phone gets velcroed here:
2. I can put about 11 CD's in the glove box. I also have 20 in the trunk (10 in the changer, 10 more in a second cassette).
3. My garage door remote hangs from here:
4. I have my cell phone charger cord, city map, gloves (in winter), and junk in the secret compartment. I don't keep any documents or manuals in the car that has my name and address on it. If the car gets stolen, the thief would have my address and my door opener. NOT a good thing.
5. I don't keep anything under the elastic thing.
