I have seen a few folks putting something like (Red/Black #125). Is this supposed to be the production number for the car? If so, how are these people getting the number? Are they making it up? I called Honda and spoke with the dealer and they have all said the production number is not something that can be obtained? Any thoughts?

We're not making it up.
The # is the last four digits of our VIN.

...and I would be seriously concerned about a dealer who couldn't answer that one...

when the car is shipped, the dealer is provided with that information (its at the end of the VIN), tack on 3-4 wks delivery time and then you get the car.

The ignorance of dealers never ceases to amaze me.
