White S2K's Worth Less!?!
in addition to being a dealer, i am also a s2k owner and guess what color i bought (white)?! obviously i can get any color i want and i chose white because that is the color i like. of all dealer publications none show preference to color eg. black book(compilation of auction reports ), nada, kelly blue book.
so in reference to color, buy what you like if your the one paying for it.

We can continue this debate, but it is becoming old! We could continue to sight points and counterpoints to argue, but that will not settle anything. Like I said, when I am ready to sell, I will let you know how it goes.
Not that I have to have the last word, but when I was in the market to purchase my S2K (June 2000), the featured picture on Honda's website for the car was white. Of course it is yellow now, and will be blue for the 2002 rollout.

the feature pic (i assume the color of the s2k honda home page) i have also seen silver and red so i assume that every color has been there at least for a little while. but i mean all pics...any of the photos, videos, 360 views, and marketing material at dealerships.
and i agree, that this issue is getting a bit long in the tooth. everyone should get whatever they are happy with without regard to resale value...

I considered a white S2000 but I couldn't locate one to see them in the flesh. I know my family keep trying to talk me out of white. I ended up with silver/red which I really like; however, I've had a couple silver cars in the past and I think I was looking for a change. I still haven't seen a white one. And, I would never buy a car until I've seen it. I'm not a catalog shopper.
On page 55 of Daniel Carney's book he states "Stark white is a traditional color for Japanese racing and sports cars, but the color doesn't highlight the S2000's curves like the popular silver and red hues." But, still I would have to see one in the flesh and make my own judgement.
