wassup everyone..
If you guys can help me out with this, I'd be really grateful. Here's my situation.
I'm trying to get a white s2000...up to 3G$ MSRP
here's the problem .. I'm in LA
I called 20+ dealers within a 60 mile radius so far...
found only ONE white s2000 with a markup of 10Gs..
that 10Gs is all profit, no accessories included.
There has to be a better way of going around all this that I don't know of. Any idea, tips, hints, etc, etc. would be greatly appreciated..
Oh yeah, did you know that the dealer can only order black, silver and yellow? Red and White are only available to what Honda gives the dealers. Kinda sucks for the peeps looking for the red or white. anyways, enuff of this from me, please help as I don't want to be a wannabe on this board any longer!!

Go eat young man...go east. Sales are slower in the winter in snow areas. Go to http://www.S2Ki.com and look for a dealer thread. The club has several dealers at 1-2 over MSRP. Put out you feelers and let the white one come to you.

If you can live with a used S2K, try this: S2Ki.com; Chapter Clubs; United Kingdomt; U.K. S2000 Owners Club; Links; S2000registry; S2000 Owners. "Owners list" if they are selling, or you can register as a prospective buyer. Sorry, there is no direct link; you have to follow the path. (A bit weird that the U.S. Registry is via the U.K. link. Greg Stevens was going to look in to having that added to the S2Ki links.)

There are several whites for sale in the list. One in WA, and a couple in TX. Might be worth an email.

(I wonder if I can sell my white/red for $10K over MSRP now - 10,500 miles, but with a lot of options.)

"Honda by the Bay", in Daphne, Alabama has a white. It has been sitting there for 6 to 8 weeks and maybe they're ready to sell. ?? Daphne is across the bay from Mobile Alabama, about 40 miles from Pensacola, Florida. Telephone no. 334 626 1118.

There is a white one for 36K (I think) at Port Angeles Honda in Washington State (360 452 3888). I'm sure they will come down a little.

I've never heard about that bit where dealers can't order white or red. In fact, I've heard stories where the dealer did order a white.

There was a white 2001 at Harbor City Honda on Pacific Coast Highway in Harbor City a few weeks ago. They wanted $3500 over at first but after I walked they called me a week later to talk. Unlucky for them I bought one 2 days before from Norm Reeves in Cerritos! They are a ratty little dealer with very few cars so they should work with you to make the sale.
