Finally saw the white s2k at Rice (near Autry) that others have mentioned to me and left a note about this board. Have seen many yellows around town as well. In fact, had a person sitting near me at a ballgame that owned one only to find out about it later. Supposedly, he's on this board. S2k's are definitely becoming a more common site in Houston. Oh, and the $50,000 marvel is still available at Honda Clear Lake My salesman challenged me to "step up". Think I'll wait for the glass rear window which according to him is a definite. Only question was regarding standard vs. option. We'll see; afterall, car salesmen will be car salesmen.

And yes, all the bells and whistles at about 3x the cost.

 

$50K also includes a reach around and a full ream job. Two dealer add on's popular with unscrupulous salesmen/dealerships.

 

I wonder how long it'll be before they realize that no one is going to pay that price.

 

Salesman usually don't know dick. They don't make deals and they don't negotiate unless they have demonstrated skill in these areas. They usually aren't privy to the margins the dealership must maintain to remain in business. The sales manger usually has the final say on the deal.

 

You'd think they'd bring it down and sell it.

 

I just graduated from Rice. I have a silver one also. I have seen at least 3 other stooks there: a white, a yellow, and a black. A professor owns the black one. I'm not sure about the other two.
