Exclamation who is 100% stock?

Around here in Seattle 95% of the s2ks I see are stock. So I had to bring this up, if your stock why? What makes you not go all crazy on your s2k.............I think I will know some of the replies (def way engineered and highly tuned) but spill it!

Drop in air filters still pretty much count as stock so chime in!

It is a beautiful car straight off the lot. I also think it is an age difference also. Since the price is kinda high, most of the people buying it are over their tuning stage.

IMO it is good, because it keeps the S not too ricey stereotype. Being here in the south, cops loves ricey cars, but they let muscle cars, harleys, and big trucks get away with speeding.

Keep my fingers crossed...I haven't been pulled over yet.

I'd like to make minor changes- but within the next two years. I'm in no hurry therefore it's still in 100% stock form.

I'm 100% totally stock to the last ziptie and pushpin. I was 100% modded last year including SC'd.

Plans changed so I went back to stock.. I love the refined look of the stock S but I really miss Booooooost!

It's all about depreciation and image.

I keep everything stock because aftermarket parts, in general, don't add much to the value of the vehicle. If something happens that forces me to sell, the mods would bring only pennies on the dollar. Also, if anything, mods can hurt the resale value. Think about the autocross image that people have when they see a turbo-booster car? I wouldn't want a car that has been tracked, and would pay good $$ for one that is completely babied intact without parts getting swapped/raped.

The other problem is image. I'm sorry, but I don't want to be associated with the "American Idol watching" ricer image. It's already bad enough that I'm a young Asian driving a Honda in Hawaii. That's all I'm gonna say without pissing some people off.

Well, actually, the only mod I have is the MUz Convex mirror. This is only added because of safety (not image).

When I first drove an S, I thought "wow, this is a great car", not, "wow, this car can use some mods". Probably the only two mechanical things I'd ever do to my S are add a SC and gears.
