Who in here drives without a front license plates and what kind of encounters have you had with the police.

I see many corvettes without from plates, gets me to wonder if they ever get harassed.

I drive without a front plate on my S2k and have gotten pulled over twice. After $20 bucks in fix it tickets I decided its better to just leave it on.

Whats your guys thoughts on this?

 

i haven't put my front plate up which is LEGAL in NJ.
but haven't got pulled over, and i have faced policy face to face many times but they didn't bother pulling me over but staring at my car.

but i'll put it up soon since i don't want to get pulled over at unappropriate time such as after bar and stuff like that.

 

I just took mine off 2 days ago...but i haven't driven the car yet.

 

I figure it's not worth the hassle and the worry to run without a front plate. If you're going to run the front plate, I highly suggest Rick's front plate holder; it looks quite nice for a front plate. It's $35 well spent on the car.

Mine has never been on my car. Never had a problem or even been pulled over in over 8 years. I did get yelled at a couple of times over the loud speaker of cruisers and told to slow down but I think my 100+ MPH speed distracted them from seeing I had no front plate. Oh, a couple of cops have pulled up to me at stop lights and at the odd DUI checkpoint and chatted about the car a bit.

 

mine has been off my car for a few months.... not once been pulled over.

 

never had one

been pulled over about 20 times in 5 years and no cop has even mentioned it once

 

got poped once by a parking meter cop. real cops never bothered to pull me over for it or give it to me while pulled over.

Off Topic: those aren't stock wheels right? what kind of powdercoat is that? i love how they have that spoon flat black look.

 

Took it off 1 week after buying it 2004 with no hassels "knock on wood" it look sweet with no plate on a black s2k

 

No front plate here. Kentucky doesn't issue one!

It's not all good. They make me pay tax on the car value each year.
