No problem for me - I pop on my hard top, switch to a second set of wheels with Dunlop M3's and keep on driving.

It is when you live at 7500 ft and get 300+ inches of snow a year.
Ok, winter in NJ is no problem

My sister-in-law lives in Incline Village, NV. There are days she comes out of work and has three feet of new snow on her car. I know the S wouldn't cut it there. If I had my choice I'd probably buy a Mercedes G55 for that kind of weather.

I finally got my S2K a month and a half ago and I'm already thinking of winter storage...what a great month and a half though. Just depressing knowing I wont be able to "play" with her till mid-march'ish.

For those of you who don't have your own garage to store your S how much do you pay per month?
So your plan is to pay to not drive it??

Your car is 4 years old. Slap on some snow tires and drive it.

I was sad/frustrated when winter hit, but it makes it that much joyful when you take it back out in the spring.

I actually took it out every month or so, when the weather was good and the roads dry. I didn't want to go through the winterizing process, so I either took it out every other week or just started it up every weekend. And let me just say whenever I did take it out....the feeling was incredible. Especailly after driving an SUV.

For me, I don't think I'd ever drive it in the snow, although many s2k owners have had no problems.

I WANT to put my car in storage. Even though she's a 2000 w/ 85k on the clock, I just ... want to... I dunno. Indiana winters *can* be harsh, and it's already time for snow this week.

Problem is, I can't find a beater for under $1000....

I drove top down just last week when it was 50 during the day as a high and just wore my leather jacket and a knit hat and it was quite comfy with the heater going. I pulled up to a stop light next to some other hard core top downers in a Jeep Wrangler and we all gave a big

Ohio should have weather similar to PA, and here it isn't snowy/icy/subfreezing every day. Oft times there are 50-60 degree days when the summer-tire shod S can be driven safely. I don't drive it daily, just less than in the summer, but drive it nonetheless.
