Default Who has 1st - 2nd gear grind problem with the 02'?

I experienced it a few times. It happened when I was trying to relax and shifted really slowly at about 5K RPM. It never happened when I quickly shifted at redline. I thought it was driver's error. Maybe I am not used to the clutch paddle yet. I would prefer a flat surface, rather than those little rubber things.

Just want to know if any 02' owners has experienced the same thing.

Just to let you know, I dont think Honda has truly corrected this 2nd gear grind issue. Mine is a '01 and I sometimes get it when I drive and shift slowly. But when I power shift, I dont get it at all....It might just be the nature of the transmission.

Peace

Ok, I guess I just have to redline the first gear at all time. There is no such thing as "relax driving" in a S2000.

2850 miles

I've had a couple of "relaxed shift" grinds...attributed to my lazy left foot.

Paying more attention when shifting at redline...I guess.
