Default Who has the SpeedCraft Turbo Kit?

Please post performance differences... where you ordered (not sure if speed-craft.com is the only place)... Total cost.. installation (yourself or someone else).. and any other comments...

My interest has been peaked today reviewing some posts earlier today.

Thanks,
Jim

The forum's search feature is now working again, you should be able to find all of that info if you search for "Speedcraft".

I ordered mine from Speedcraft, total cost with all gauges, installation by a mechanic and 3" pipe welded to the beginning of the 'Y' split, $9,500 (including towing charges and other misc). Dynoed my car and got apprx. 266 RWHP and 190 lbs of torque (this should be the result not going 3" all the way to the end). I am quite happy with the results (HUGE difference) but I have not logged a lot of miles as my car is on its way to Greece. Here we have 99 octane gas, so I should be getting better results.

what other mods? just the SpeedCraft kit using all of its electronics and fuel components? no tuning with a V-AFC?

Are you sure that 266 rwhp is not a typo.
I have heard so much more from others. 280 - 300 comes to mind.

Just the kit, 93 octane gas, 6 psi and V-AFC, although I did not have the time to extensivelly tune my car. It is otherwise completely stock. And as Wesmaster said, I did not go with a 3" pipe all the way to the end (plus I have an 3" inlet/ outlet cat). I kept the stock resonators (is this the correct word?) as I did not want the loud sound! Once Speedcraft gets some solid results with the fuel management system they are experimenting with I may add it (I read they are seeing 20+HP gains). I have exchanged emails with other Speedcraft kit owners and the highest I have seen at 6 psi with 93 gas is 280 (with 3" exhaust pipes - Apexi N1). I have the file with the dyno results. Give me an email address and I will be happy to send it. (you need to download the software from dynojet.com to be able to read it/ see it).

expect to spend roughly..

350 VAFC
350 Greddy or whatever boost controller
500 tuning of VAFC
6200 for turbo kit
5-1000 for custom exhaust 3 inch single or double
100-??? for gauges.
9-10 thousand at the max I would say.

thats pretty much all you need if you want to run 6 psi with regular pump gas.

Anymore and it gets pretty bad. well for me, I spent money on injectors, AEM 1:1 regulator, 3 gauges, VAFC, AVCR, a piggy back ECU, and labor+ tuning. Way too much ......money in my case. but nowwwwww Im happy.

I hit 294@the rear wheels using 91 octane and a three inch inlet/outlet Catalytic converter by CARSOUND @8 pounds of boost. I will try taking off my CAT when I get the chance and see what I gain. Should be good though.

Here's my list so far...
$6350 Speed Craft Turbo shipped.
$500 Blitz SBC-ID Boost controller.
$250 Blitz Power meter ID (gotta match my boost controller.)
$130 Blitz Datt turbo timer.
$800 HKS titanium racing muffler w/ custom 3" stainless steel piping.
$50 O2 sensor emulator (no cat) from Diablo Motorsports.
$450 Greddy E-manage with ignition and injector harness.

Within the next 2 weeks...
$600 installation of turbo
$200 installation of electronics
$1000+ for dyno tuning!

Total $10,330

I'm planning to sell my emanage for the AEM EMS though...
