I actually use a 1/2" spacer inside my Rick's countersunk knob so it doesn't sit quite so low. The leverage is now perfect for me, I shift much smoother than when it was sunk all the way down.

The Voodoo Ti knob is 284 grams, while the aluminum knob is 175 grams. That is way heavier. I have owned both and perfer the Ti which is currently installed.

Although it isn't that much shorter in size than the stock knob, it screws into the knob more; is that true?

Yes, It's drilled deeper and countersunk so you can screw it on down.

It does feel significantly lower and heavier. Depending on preference, it could be a good thing or bad thing. I personally like the feel of the stock shape, because I shift with my palm instead of holding the knob. I just got the titanium knob for the weight.
