Hi gang!

While I have my interior removed (again!) I want to replace all the stock carpet with the finest carpet known to man, woman, or child... something that would be at home in a Bently, Aston Martin, etc... I don't need a fitted kit, I will cut my own pieces. How about a very rich thick plush wool carpet?

Rick, any ideas? No offense, your leather absolutely ROCKS but I want to try to stick with carpet if I can...

Shaner,

Plush carpet of any kind is not a good idea in an automotive interior largely because the plusher the carpet is the more it serves as a dirt trap. That's why even the best automotive carpet is short pile.

If you put thick carpet on the transmission tunnel you probably won't be able to fit the plastic console back onto the mounting clips.

Thanks to Giampiero and his referral to Hirsch Automotive in Newark, NJ I finally got my Wilton III red 100% wool carpet I have longed for! Now I just have to replace all the interior carpet and line the trunk with it as well...

BEAUTIFUL carpet... (not cheap but beautiful!)
