i know this topic has been covered, but i'd love to hear impressions from owners who've jumped from AP1 to AP2 and, in some cases, to AP2 CR. Not trying to open up the AP1 v AP2 can of worms just want to hear what owners who've owned multiple cars have liked and disliked over the years.
I am on my 2nd. I had a 04 S2k, sold it for an E36 M3, then sold the M3 for a 06 S2k. I decided to return to the S, because the M3 just wasn't the same!

My AP1 was rear ended a while ago and I got an AP2 next. i like my AP2 nearly better in almost every way over the AP1 except the heavier and slower steering.

Personally feel that all S2000s should have been like the AP1.5. The car has all the AP2's pluses versus AP1:
- revised cosmetics
- much better synchros
- stiffer subframe
- engine (smoother VTEC transition)
- torquier (yes, even though it's also an F20c)
So yes, everything's AP2, except it still have the 9k redline w/AP1 flywheel. I love this car. Slap on CR suspenion, and this is the best S2000 with Honda OEM parts imo.
FYI, I sold my first one because I moved to a country that only takes RHD cars.
Wait, did you upgrade everything to AP2 on an AP1 except the motor? or did you put an AP1 flywheel on an AP2? I'm confused...

My second one's from Japan, that's why it's an AP2 but with a revised F20c motor and synchros with AP1 gearing and flywheel. All JDM S2000s come like that in 2004 and 2005
It's a bit confusing ... then I did the CR conversion as well (for suspension and aero kit). So it's kinda like an AP1.5 CR
