I had some oil issues with my engine.
For those who consider turbo, i would say..umm NO!
Turbo is great on a motor with less compression than a S2000.
Go ahead spend the $$$ to build it up, then blow it up
Supercharger all the way for the S

I have a turbo, done 9000+ miles on it in just over 6 months. Everything appears to be hanging in there! Fuel tuning is however a nightmare. You'll want at least a VAFC if you go the turbo route otherwise you will have lots of fuel related issues as you go into VTEC with anything less that full throttle. Regrets? Should have got a really good A/F guage installed, Apex N1's are REALLY LOUD, get the cat replaced with a test pipe WHEN they install the turbo and exhaust, save up plenty of money for new tires and most likely a new clutch (mine is still doing ok). Be prepared to spend plenty of time at the dyno or get an Apex-i RSM (I did the latter). In a nutshell the turbo is a real CUSTOM mod and you WILL live in fear that your car is going to break. The SC's appear to be a much better customisation, but I get 185lbs/ft torque at 5000 rpm upwards on 6lbs of boost. I won't go over 6lbs! If you go over 6lbs expect $$$$$ Also expect very varied performance from a turbo depending on air temperature - 6 lbs of really cold air (New England) packs a lot of punch and can really mess up your carefully dyno'd A/F ratios!

So, what you saying is your engine is about to blow if you're not careful?

A search will turn up many blown FI motors.

Early stock motors (MY '00-'01) seemed to have two main failure modes (ignoring over-revs of course): the #4 cylinder scuffing issue, and spark plugs backing out. More recently, there don't seem to be as many failures, nor any particular common cause.
