For those who consider turbo, i would say..umm NO!
Turbo is great on a motor with less compression than a S2000.
Go ahead spend the $$$ to build it up, then blow it up
Supercharger all the way for the S
If I blow up, it's your fault because you've cursed me

I played hardball to get my car fixed under warranty. Had ~10k when it blow up. I complained about noisy engine 3k miles after comparing with other s2k. (trust me it was not normal to sound like that and my car was still new so I was babying it) Dealer mechanic told me it was normal and characteristic of S2000. I had them still put my complaint in writing and on the record. Good thing I did, because when it blew they blame driver abuse. With lawyer, BBB complaint and with my previous complaint they said they will fix it one time under "GOOD WILL"
Nuff said.

For information on catastrophic failures of the F20C read the thread in my sig. This thread includes 36 engines but does not include wrecked engines from over-rev, wrecked engines from the spark plug backout problem, wrecked engines from forced induction, or wrecked engines from hydro-lock.

Robust systems last longer, but might be no fun. The 225 slant 6 in my '74 Dodge Dart never had a problem in 120,000 miles. Of course, it produced less hp than the F20C and I got about 11 mpg in city driving, 17 highway with that car. I don't think I'd go back.

Just to let you know that the car in question is now passing emissions by zeroing out his low throttle low RPM VAFC settings. It was running lean which was causing a larger amount of NOx to be generated.
