somehow i think the report includes the seats getting stolen not the whole car. If it was just insurance claims from thefts in general, i can see how that can add up to being more insurance reports than a lot of cars.

I'm in college, my car is parked in a parking lot that is 5 minutes away. i also would not be able to see or hear it get broken into, or stolen.
don't let anyone at your college read that...

^^ LOL, it's pretty obvious. we have these large parking lots everywhere on the outer edge of the campus. i live near the inner side so it is a long walk to the edge of the campus. my car is in the middle of no where

all this talk about s2k being most stolen. Yet, a victim never posted here.
It's important to note that the HLDI/IIHS top 10 list is based on percentage (claims per 1,000) -- not sheer numbers.

Also consider what percentage of overall S2000 owners s2ki represents. I don't know how many S owners there are on s2ki but I'm willing to bet that s2ki still represents a tiny percentage. In general, statistics based on forum postings aren't all that useful without someone properly interpreting them.

sounds like Penn State. I went there for five years. I parked my old 1990 civic at 4am after a late night jazz gig. The theives (i'm betting) were already breaking into cars in the lot when mine came humming by. I came to it at 10 the next morning and the window was smashed in, and they took a ton of sh*t out of the car.

walking up to your car after being robbed is a terrible sight
i'm super paranoid about my S2.
