I'm looking for a reasonable answer. Some exec at honda made the call and I want to know why. If you dont know, then dont post in this thread. I'm not asking for your personal opinion on the issue. Its a simple question.

This just goes along with the stereotype that a lot of people buy a BMW or Porsche because of the brand name. That's just too bad for them. Personally, I'm glad that they made it a Honda and I'm proud to own one. This way you know people are buying it for the car it really is, not just for the name. That says a lot about the character of most S2000 owners.

who gives a shiit if it is a honda or acura. If you want it to be an Acura then buy the badge and put it on. Or you can even make it into a ferrari wanna be, just take off the honda badge and put the ferrari badge on. The bottom line is it's just a freaking car. Drive it and enjoy it. Don't give a damn about who makes it. If you don't like it then don't buy it. STop bringing up stupid topic like this

There is also the thought of the S2000 being in honor of Honda's 50 years in motorsport......the S2000 is an enthusiast's car, and the enthusiast knows of the Honda heritege........the earlier S500, S600 and the long racing history, both 2 and 4-wheel..........Acura is a name-plate, Honda is a marque...............

Oh, and those who bought lesser cars just because they weren't a Honda, well, they are the ones missing out........

lol@redline. That would be hilarious. When I get mine im taking all the emblems off, I just want it to be a blur as it whizzes by with nothing shining to catch the eye. You know, black out the lenses and all.

Some of you people have serious issues. Maybe you misunderstood the question or dont read well. But in general, if you cant contribute anything to a thread then dont post in it.
