Why do people think s2000s are a Miata clone?

S2000s is so much better then Miatas..

 

Ignorance. It is a continuation from where the s800 left off.

 

Both are roadsters.
Both have no torque and high HP
Both are monsters on autocross.

 

and the miata came first - the revival of the roadster. i guess the boxter s is also a clone too as it has as much in common with the miata as the S.

 

similar concept, alot of people just group them 1 to 1 because both are minimally small, driver oriented convertibles.

 

While stopped at a light, a guy two lanes away, driving a pickup, flagged me to lower my window. He was asking if it was a Miata I was driving. He goes "Cool!" when I told him it's a Honda.

I think for some people, Miatas are the first thing to come to mind when they see a Japanese roadster(??).

 

They look the same (for my mother for exemple), same principle and lets face it, the S2000 is a Miata on EPO

 

This is a joke... a clone?
