why does my car feel so slow!
Compression test or you forgot that you're driving a 4 banger with low torque. Don't expect anything special in the straight, twistys is where you need to be. FI it if your compression turns out ok and you still feel like its lacking, thats what I did before I sold my sk2.Good luck
At 25MPH you should be in 2nd so your screwed already if you're messing with someone on the streets thats worth playing with, unless you're running against a mini van. From my experiance if you want a decent 0-60 start in 1st gear. Just my .02 cent

Did you drive something with torque recently?
Truthfully, if you want something with speed and power, the S2000 isn't for you.
An underperforming engine could be attributed to several things, such as poor fuel, slightly dirty fuel injectors, low air pressure due due to weather or high mositure level in air, or even the ECU adapted to your slow driving.
A tune up such as an oil change, if you haven't changed your oil for some time, an air filter change, and some fuel injector cleaner usually do the trick for me. On wet and cloudy days where air pressure is low and moisture high, the car would usually feel underpowered.
Personally, the roads I drive on with a lot of patches, man holes, unevenness, and cracks always make my car feel slow because I have to swerve and slow down to avoid going over those road imperfections. That's why my cars usually feel so slow!!
i know s2000 isnt fast straight away, and isnt why i bought it either.
during the time i had it, it just feels like its slower than before, and ive had it for a while too.
without launching what would u expect out of ur 0-60? rolling start

^ off of my count in my head i get a 0-60 time of aprox 4.1 sec. though i think i might be off by up to 10 seconds...
really i would expect what sub 6 sec on a not hard launch?
more than likely you are just used to the car and now it feels normal. this happens to me all too often. i remember the first time i drove a stock vtec prelude and though "my god this is way too fast, i'm going to kill myself" now i'm numb to the speed of both the s2k and the sti's straight line speed. i have found that the corners still feel just as good in the s as they always did.
