why not V6 S2000?
Because there's more challenge in wringing 240 hp out of 2.0L, as opposed to ~2.5L for a V6.
Besides, Honda's never been too keen on big engines. While Dodge is mighty happy creating 8.0L V-10 monsters, Honda's happy with a tight, light S2K

More torque from slighly bigger engine coudn't hurt.
Just Imagine V6 S2000 with 280HP & 200 Torque.
We could easily beat many domestic V8s without having to
go with force induction on our cars

Think of it this way...what the S2000 lacks in power or gadgets, it more than makes up for in pure FUN. If you really have to have 300hp you can buy a SC or turbo for your car. BUT...go buy one of those "other" cars with a nice V6 and lots of torque and then see if you can find someone to sell you some fun...

A V6 would simply ruin everything that is good about this car, especially the price. So what if you have to wind it out to get it to move? If low-rpm torque is so great, why don't F1 cars have semi-truck motors in them? If you are not into high-strung, high rpm motors, this is not the ideal car for you. For those who want 6 cylinders, there are other choices out there. I pray that Honda never ruins this car by putting a 6 in it.
