Default Why are people so jealous?

Last night on Greenville Ave. in Dallas, two guys in a convertible mustang pulled up next to me. They started revving their engine and then proceeded to pull in front of me by about 4 or 5 car lengths. We were going about 40 mph when the next thing I know, one of the guys throws a beer bottle at the Stook. I swerved out of the way, luckily not getting hit. We came upon a light and they slowed down. I was hesitant to pass but really had no choice. As I started to pass the stang, he began to swerve into my lane....I swerved to avoid hitting him. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw both guys laughing. It was obvious that both were probably drunk. I just don't get it. Why does the stook invoke so much jealously?

Cell phone, 911, and tag number. That is the proper response.

I hate to say it, but many of the accounts of this kind of redneck behavior are coming out of Texas. What gives in the Lone Star state?

I agree! Wow! That was a close one for you! Glad everything worked out, and you and your car are un-hurt!

I don't think it is just Texans, though I've had plenty of run-ins with such people myself. There are just plenty of jerks in the world. (I also don't think it's just the S2000 that engenders this behavior in people. I don't have an s2000 yet, but I've had run-ins with people who pulled the same kind of stuff on me).

ryanpaige,

Aren't you from Texas? I've had nothing like this happen here in Maryland. In fact, most people here want to race or compliment you, but no such vicious behavior, at least in my experience.

I heard about this in defensive driving. get their licence plate, call 911 and file a police report. It is alot of work but. Most of the time the you will win because you have to go through alot of work. Also if you spend that much time on it, the judge would like lean your way.
