Waste of money to go to a 350Z. If you were stepping up to this level of car from something else entirely (say, a Civic), then it'd be a different story.

Have you driven both? I have. S2000 no question.

The choice is yours. But it seems to me you're relying quite a bit on what other people tell you. You should do what you want, not what others tell you is best.

1. Yes, 350Z's got Traction control for people who can't drive a sports car (Just my opinion), But it is nice to have when the weather is bad! or in snow

2. You got more power because it's got a biger engine with more pistons as well. What was the size of the Z' engine again? All I can remember was that it has 287 Hp and so does NSX engine at 290 (and that was few years ago)

3. I'm not sure, but from some of my friends who had owned Altima and Maxima told me they have good experience with Nissan.

Have fun with the S2000 now and trade it in for the new "improved" 2005 S later!
Or if you want drivablity, I would go with the Infiniti G35 Coupe! (almost same performance as the 350Z (same engine, less twicked), but more luxury and a 2+2 seating and better service and warranty.
