Why is the S2000 called a STOOK??
Stook is just a lazy way of saying S2000.
When someone says to you, "Wow neat car, I've never seen one before, what is it?" Do you say, "Oh it's my stook", closely related to a stork. Or perhaps the response is "Thanks, this is my s2k."
Guys this is a Honda S2000, people will look at you funny if you call it a stook.
Sorry, just a rant on a Friday afternoon. Stook makes no sense to anyone outside of folks on this board, and not even to everyone here.
I feel muuuuch better now.

Re: what fisch said, I dislike the name "stook" exactly because it sounds like we're calling it a Stuka, which was a poorly-performing Nazi terror weapon of WWII, but hey if you own one, call it what you like, I've even heard tales of people here giving their cars female names, now THAT is silly! Hehehe...
Somebody besides me has got to remember how this started. It was back sometime in 99 and I believe it was one of the guys from Northern CA. who started calling his car a Stook for S too K and the name stuck. I don't remember who it was and since that was about three boards back I can't look it up. Anyone know who started it?
