Why is it so hard to find a GPW S2K?

btw the person that said white is harder to upkeep than black, what are you smoking and where can I get some? That has got to be one of the most retarded statements I have ever read on this forum.
He is entitled to his opinion about his color preference and upkeep. Of course you are entitled to your opinion about that but I just think there could be better choice of words than saying someone's comment is retarded.

Kind of unnecessary...

What if he was standing next to you? Would shout at him "Your comment is retarded!" just because he states that he thinks a color was harder to upkeep than another?
If someone had to be named "retarded" in that situation, it wouldn't be him.

I've had champaign (or sand), black, silver cars and I now have GPW. All I gotta say is the metalic color ones definiltey hid dust, dirt, and sap the best due to the nature of how light reflects off of the paint and finish. GPW is relatively flat (non-pearl) so dirt actually does show up quite obviously. As for a flat black, it is a pain to keep looking clean because dust, dirt and sap are so obvious against it.
Anyway, I looked for a GPW S2k for ten months and finally found "the one." During my search, I didn't come across too many GPW's within 600 miles in the condition I wanted (low mileage, 2006+). I do recall that silverstone did come up a lot. Anyway, cccording to Dupont, the top colors globally in 2009 are
1. Silver – 25 percent
2. Black – 23 percent
3. White – 16 percent
4. Gray – 13 percent
5. Blue – 9 percent
6. Red – 8 percent
7. Brown/Beige – 4 percent
8. Green – 1 percent
9. Yellow/Gold – 1 percent
10. Others – <1 percent
If you really prefer GPW, then I recommend you don't settle for anything else. Otherwise, you'll pinch yourself every time you see one.

White wasn't the "trendy" color while the S2000 was in production (silver was) but it is now.
Take your time finding the perfect S2k, because it took me about 2 years on and off with buying a white or get another color, and I've always wondered about the color which i should get and always wanted a GPW and had to have it. I ended up not having the perfect color combo white on red but I'm really happy with white on tan, I love it. So take your time and keep looking they're out there you just have to be patience, and don't start changing your mind on the color.
