wide tires
Running 255s in the rear as well....Goodyear F1s to be exact. They are pretty wide tires. Car handles bumps better, its smoother, and the grip is endless, especially in the rain. Nothing negative about it....just make sure your rim isnt a block of lead.

im running 255s in the rear too and had to make significant mods to stop the rubbing - that might have something to do with the wacky offsets and big drop too!

mind sharing the offset and any suspension modifications (coilovers, any trailing arm modifications) etc...
Thanks!
Thanks!
I'm on stock height. If I was to drop the car (without rolling the rear fenders) I would rub.
I am running a 265-35-18 with a 10 inch rim. My tires were wearing out way to fast because I had such a negative camber, so I had to roll the fenders to put the camber to stock specs, and my rim is a 68+ offset in the rear. No rubbing here whatsover I am also lowered over 1.5 inches.
Soon to be running 225/40/18 in front and 245/35/18 in rear. These are the special offset's made for the s2k, 18x8 +51 in front and 18x9 +63 in rear. On a 2 inch drop, but that may need to change when the wheels and tires arrive.
Ok, anyone running 17" wheels with a 255 in the rear? What wheel/tire setup (offset and suspension mods)....A concise description would be much appreciated!

What offsets are you running? Mine are 18x9.5 55mm and I never rub.
I am lowered around 1.75" and had MAJOR rubbing issues. (I think it also had something to do with the sound system I have in the trunk which is equivalent to hauling around a dead body!)
Solution was to roll the fenders, trim a good part of the inner well area of the rear bumper and remove/relocate the mounting points for the rear bumper. Still had to up the rear camber to -3 and now I only rub on the BIG dips It was a complete pain, but IMHO the end justifies the means.
oh...and for the person who asked, I have an AP2
