Default Wife never listens!

About one year ago I bought my wife a Honda Passport. I paid cash for it and only carried liability ins. cause I was paying for tuition at the time. I told her not to talk on the phone while she is driving in rush hour traffic. Three months later she rear ends some car on the freeway while talking on the phone. I eventually forgot about the whole situation until this weekend. I have a circle driveway at my house and when I come home I usually park inside the gates, in front of my garage door which normally leaves her truck the only car in the circle. We were planning to go to a Christmas party Fri. evening so when I came home I just parked in the circle cause I knew we were leaving soon. As I am taking a shower she tells me that she is going to pick-up some photos, as she was leaving I said "watch out, my car (S2000) is parked behind yours." She yells OK. 10 seconds later she comes in crying and states the obvious. I swear she never listens to me! The damage is not bad, some scratches on my light lens, a little on the front. I figure this gives me the excuse to paint the front spoiler from the road debris while they are fixing the scratches she made.

Sorry to hear that. I'm also very against the idea of talking on the phone while driving.

There were quite a few times when I almost got hit by swirving cars because the drives were talking on the phone! and the worst part was that they didn't even realize the danger they were causing!!

Well, just be glad that this was not so serious and have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

Delaware just passed a no smoking law in all bars and restaurants (finally and thankfully) now all they have to do is pass a no talking on the car phone law (unless there is a speaker) and save even more lives.

Wouldn't you be much happier and safer if they passed a no talking in the car law? Or how about a no changing the CD or changing stations on the radio law. No eating, no yelling at kids in the back, no farding (make-up), no shaving, no reading, no music unless quiet and calming laws?

IMO most of the people who drive like idiots while taking on the phone are generally brain dead lane changers who don't pay attn. to their driving anyway. Most of them shouldn't be driving to start with.

If that's the case, they shouldn't put any law. This way brain dead drivers can eliminate themselves

I don't know about all of the other stuff, but the most frightening thing is to be in rush hour traffic with a cell phone talker behind. As I slow to a stop and look in my mirror I see the person behind, usually in a big SUV, holding the phone with one hand and "talking" with the other. I wonder how they are steering and if they are going to stop before they hit me.
