Wildcardtrd ITB install completed
^^^Thanks, but I've got a handle on filters. They're in and working well. I can feel a power loss with filters vs. no filters, but it's not enough for me to consider running w/o anytime other than autocrossing or drag racing. It did quiet the ITB's down some, but only the very low throttle sucking noise...all the yummy VTEC goodness is still there
Oh man....I've been following your ITB install from the start and the whole time I've been super interested in what you were gonna do for filters (even more than the actual ITB install...I'm just OCD like that LOL)....when you gonna show pics of the filters in place now that you got them installed?
BTW, from vid, it sounds and looks great!!!

^^^did you even LOOK at the dyno before posting??
All I've done is AEM EMS, test pipe, ITB's. That's it as far as performance mods. The 2 plots you see in the dyno of the ITB's represent a bone stock car (mine) with JUST an AEM EMS...(which alone made a crapload more power than my stock baseline dyno), represented by the blue line, and the red line, which has just an AEM EMS and ITB's. As you can see by the dyno plot, there is a ton more area under the curve with ITB's. My car is much, much stronger than it was before. Not only does the car make 20 rwhp more very low in the rpms and carry it all the way to the top, but it climbs through the revs alot faster too, so it gets through the gears very, very fast.
...Now if you are only looking at peak numbers, you missed the entire point of ITB's. ITB's are for road racing and autocross, where you spend 90% of the time between 4 and 8 grand (in an AP1), so midrange is key. If you want peak numbers, go with a turbo. You'll kick ass in a straight line, but you'll be hating life at an autocross event.
Short and sweet, I make more power at 4800 rpm than you do at 6000.

I'll take a broad midrange curve over peak horsepower any day of the week.

I'll call you when I get out of class today at 10:15, since I'll be over on your side of town.

What school do you go to? UCF... if so I want to check it out.
Glad the install and tune went well, wildcard. Definitely a neat mod.
The few engines I've seen with ITBs really look cool. Something tells me you'll be spending some time/$$ dressing up that engine bay.

I defenately want to dress it up some. I need to make a cover for the crossmember, and re-do some of the brackets we made with some better looking stuff. We started to run out of time near the end, so we basically made stuff "just work"...so now it's time to go back through it and make it pretty, not that it isn't already
