Will '01 S2000's have the same seatbelt & tranny probelms?
Since the seatbelt and the tranny are known problems, I would be surprised if they continued to manufacture under the same tolerances and parts that caused these problems.
The seatbelt problem has been recalled. This means that they have gone through extensive planning to handle this. I would be really surprised if this wasn't already remedied in the new models. As for the tranny, that has not been recalled, but is an issue that is handled on a "as needed" basis. But again, I am sure it is tons more expensive for them to fix these random incidents than it is to make sure that all tranny's are getting the right clips/gears or whatever it is that needs replacement.

Jay is correct. The MY2001's began arriving the the USA in late September and delivery began about October 27th. AHM told my dealer that the delay was due to taking care of the seatbelt recall mentioned in an early October news story from Japan.
