Will the dealership void my warranty
I have an 05 S2000 with a T1R test pipe and Tein springs. Will the Honda dealership void my warranty if I bring my car in for service?

Understood! I've always taken my car to the dealer to get an oil change, but does it really matter? It's not like this is one of those uber collector cars. The next owner most likely wouldn't care if all the changes were done through the dealership. Hmmm...

Basically a good rule to follow is this:
1. the dealership can void your warranty for basically anything they feel like.
Now there are laws that say that the mod has to be the direct cause of the problem, etc, etc. But going through a legal battle with the dealership is just not worth it for a test pipe.
That said, if you are going to mod either keep the stock parts just incase you need warranty work done on your car at the dealership or expect to catch crap from them and possibly void your warranty.

One extra note...the law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) only applies to factory warranties. If you have a HondaCare or similar extended "warranty", the law does not apply. This is because extended "warranties" are not actually warranties...they are maintenance insurance policies. And insurance policies can be voided or denied for any of the reasons given in the policy small print...on most extended "warranties" that includes any non-oem parts.
