Default Will fender rolling help?

UPDATE FIXED the rubbing by shaving the fender

THANKS everyone and especially "ap2" which i been bothering him with im/pm for a while, because he and i is rocking the same set of wheels

car=ap1 w/ one inch drop
(rear)wheel=17x8 ET 38
(rear)tire=245 40 17
alignment=oem us spec

Like title said, it's rubbing on very hard turn in the rear, i really want to fix this with fenderrolling. I am just not sure will it elminate the problem once and for all, if it's going to rub after fender rolling then i might as well see the rims.

For those with similar setup, my question for you is..will it rubs?

THANK YOU S2ki

i am not sure if there is any real defenite answer.. it depends on how much you roll it and hwo you drive it.. i see that youa re running 245's in the rear, which really shouldnt rub much, if at all.. but looking at your offset, i see why.. i think the only way to really tell is to just have them rolled and see if it still rubs.

Your offset is really low for an 8 inch rear... You should look under your fender to see what is actually rubbing.

I have my fender shaved (instead of rolled). This helped but I still rubbed.

I just relocated the attach point for the rear bumper and it did wonders. I'm supprised it's not talked about as much as fender rolling.

My advise... roll the fenders... then relocate the tab... if no worky then sell and buy new wheels... all the surgery you did with your car will still help with other wheels.

I just put down couple lines of white paint in the quarter/fender well area, will post up the result...tomorrow hopefully.

it looks like it's rub on the very end of the metal fold and i think you guys are on the money, the very end point of the bumper also.

like i said, i'll check the result of the "paint test", if it's rubbing so deep then i am not even going to bother to roll the fender/quarter panel. maybe just get something new(enkei rpf?) or just leave it as it.(the are my daily rubber anyway, the better tires are mounted on my stock ap1 wheel )

no worries - the paint should show you exactly what you need to do.

As well as relocating the attachment point, I had to shave about 1/4" off the full length of the bumper return lip (top to bottom) and it solved all my issues

(that and dial in some -3* camber!)

Me too, I did this and it worked a miracle for my 9.5 rear with 55 offset and 265/35/18. It was as much or more beneficial as the initial rolling of the fenders.
