on the front right side of the passenger seat is a weight sensor. that tells the passenger airbag when to deactivate. you have to figure out how to get this to work or (most likely) disable the passenger airbag when installing a new seat for your passenger.
have a look at it; it's not hard to find. mine squeaks when somebody rides in it.
