Default Will I need BSK and driveshaft spacers?

Hi,

If I only plan on lowering about 1" from stock, will I still need a bump steer kit? If so, just front, or both front and rear?

And would you recommend driveshaft spacers? Looks like J's version are 10mm spacers. If not, at what point (how much lowered) are these necessary?

Thanks in advance!

well, for the most part this problem occurs with most cars that are lowered, but i don't know how far a car is dropped before these problems become severe enough, which is pretty much my question.

but anyway, here are the general parts that combat these problems (examples from evasive):

front bumpsteer:

rear bumpsteer:

roll center adjusters:

driveshaft spacers:

so....................... anyone have a suggestion? get everything even with a "mild" lowering? looks like that front bsk is < 1" thick, so i guess even at 1" probably should use it?

Hmm well i know of a couple s2k's local that are lowered without these parts and have no issues.

On my old S4 i had it slammmed and aside from a slight negative camber it rode and drove fine so im not sure. good luck on your decision tho

Here is how it works. My car is dropped an inch. You dont need bumpsteer kit for an inch of drop. As far as the the driveshaft spacers. If your car has more then about 25k on it and you lower it then you have 2 choices. Buy the kit or fix it for free. If you swap out the inner axle joints from side to side it fixes the vibration. If the car has under 25k on it then the axles have not worn enough that it will cause vibration. If you have more mileage then that and lower it then the cups get worn and if you swap them side to side it fixes the problem. I would lower it and see if you get the vibration if you do then fix it for free becasue the spacers are a waste because it is almost just as much work to instal those as it is to swap ou the cups. Swapping the cups is free

i can't believe S2000's need all this crap to be lowered.

it's almost a joke..

second thoughts now kicking in..

I don't want to have to spend a grand + labor on top of all suspension parts just to get a 1.5-2" drop. ****ing brutal.
