Default Will i pay the price for turning off VSA ?

So ive had my08 AP2 for 4 years now and i feel comfortable driving the S without the VSA on . I turn it off everytime i drive . I have a daily driver so its not like im driving in bad road conditions . I just like to be able to kick the ass end out whenever i feel like it without VSA stopping the fun. These 08 and 09 AP2s are much easier to control compared to an AP1 but i still wanted to ask the community if you guys think the S will bite me one day? Any thoughts ?

IMO, if you like to drift, get something else. Late model, nice car and possesses some value. Don't gamble.

i have an AP1 and it actually takes a good amount of work to get the back end to come out...i think people have the mis-conception that AP1's are tail happy and from my experiences, thats just not true...ive also never been a fan of electronics controlling certain aspects of a car...i say leave it off if you feel comfortable with the car

I have a friend with a 2012 mustang V6, and it has "sport mode" where it allows you to have some fun without spinning out. Well, he started just turning TCS off completely and just last week he spun out and hit a guard rail. Thankfully the damage was not severe and he is aright, but I see that as a lesson: if you are just driving normally, why would you need it off? if you are planning on hooning about 'every time' you get into your car, perhaps you got the wrong car?

I ran out of tallent with my first sports car, drifting......its not the vsa that is the problem. Since then i bought an S2K and joined NASA, Chin, and PBOC. If you joined a track day group you wouldnt regret it and youll probably drive differently on the street.

Well it all depends on how you drive of course. I have a 2004 (no VSA) and love to make the rear come loose too. You have to know the limits of you, the car, and the road.

If you're on public roads you have no business kicking the rear end out. You're endangering yourself and others.
If you're doing this in any sort of controlled or closed off environment then do whatever you want, but you always have the risk of crashing...

I agree with this. And if you're doing it on a closed course than just push the button.

In my 04 I have a tough time getting the rear end to come loose on 255 sticky tires. No sure what you kids are doing to get the back end to come loose.
