Will Supercharging Make the S2000 Faster than STI?
man oh man. my friend let me drive his STI last night and all i got to say is that thing is a beast!
that turbo is amazing and it takes off soooo quick. i had so much fun in that car i didnt wanna get out. My S felt slow to me after driving the STI
but no biggie, i love my S2000. So anyways, I was wondering if supercharging will make the S faster than a STI or or will it be the same power? thanks

Yea...faster is a relative thing....there's many fasters...
faster on the straight!
faster on the twisties!
or faster to get the dates pants off!
never underestimate sex appeal in a car

I own both a supercharged S2000 and an STi. I can say that my stock STi is faster from zero to 120, then the S wins.
Sorry, its the truth!
My S has a Comptech Supercharger, Aftercooler, Exhaust & V-AFC with about 295rwhp. My STi beats it from a roll or standstill. The STi has the same skidpad, slalom, and 70-0 braking specs as the S. Thats why I bought it. Its an exact performer with 4 doors. It allows me to switch cars without switching driving habits.
Plus I just can't sell my S. I can't!!! Nothing quite like top down driving.
I'm about to put a Turbo Back exhaust and ECUTEK reflash on my STi. It will push it from 255whp/262tq to 307whp/316wtq for $2K. Amazing!

From 0-whatever, the Sti will probably win.
From 10-whatever, the Supercharged S has a MUCH better chance.
I've raced ONE Sti from a roll (maybe 10-90) and had him by about one car length in the end. I normally don't do that stuff but I had just gotten the SC and I had to see how I would do
I've got an untuned Vortech and a Tanabe Exhaust. 297 to the wheels.

Out of the hole the awd cars are crazy. So no way in hell from a dig. The supercharged s2000 shines in the triple digits. From the numbers I have seen a sti should stay ahead til about 120 compared to a supercharged s2000(non aftercooled). A supercharged s2000 with gears and an aftercooler will be about eqaul to 100mph with an sti then the s2000 should walk it. Not to number race or anything but the yellow comptech s/c s2000 in the article Fourgasm has the same 0 to 100mph as a stock sti....but beats the sti to 130 mph by about three seconds.
Anyone who's looking for an S2000 to be the fastest car on the road in a straight line is going to be dissapointed sooner or later.
But in the twisties, there really is no comparison.
We've had several STi's autoxing locally and the S2000 is far superior (read faster) on the track.
They are completely opposite cars, both extremely capable, but different.
