Default Will Voodoo Shift Knob Affect My Warranty

When I upshift my '03 with 2500 miles from 2nd to 3rd, I feel a slight "crunch" in the shifter. I wanted to take it to the dealer to document this problem. Has anyone experienced the dealer giving them a hard time because of the voodoo shift knob by claiming the car is "modified", thereby voiding the warranty? Should I replace the voodoo knob with a stock one for the dealer visit? Any help will be much appreciated.

Shouldn't matter. Especially with a shift knob.

I would really think that you'd be ok.

I don't see why it would matter........ The knob has no direct mechanical contact to anything to cause a problem.

If you are worried though, you could just pop the stock one back on. It is rather easy as you should know

The 2-3 "crunch" is normal. And unless the dealer is a complete jackass, you should be fine with the aftermarket knob.
