Default Will winter driving destroy a nice exhaust?

I am thinking about jumping in on the Invidia exhaust GB, but the s2k is my year-round car and I am a little concerned about the effect that road salt and grime will have on the finish. I try to keep my car clean, but it is kind of difficult to wash it regularly in sub-freezing temps. Will the nice finish and Ti tips lose thier luster quickly in this kind of driving, or are the metals inert enough to resist any kind of tarnish from the salt?

Thanks.

I have a Fuji on my 4 season, daily driven car. The Fuji has very shiney rear exhaust cannisters and tips. If you want them to keep looking shiney, they will require regular maintenance. They will get deposits of tar and road grime which will need the proper cleaning agent, but the shine does come back quite nicely when effort is put into it.
I simply don't worry about them nearly as much since I've conceded to the fact that it is a winter, daily driven car. Of course, I can't comment on the quality of the finish on the Invidia. A poor quality finish will be harder to maintain.

Thanks X. I have a feeling that I will adopt that same mentality. My S is a 4-season daily driver and while I take care of her mechanically, I am not all that concerned with keeping the car in pristine condition cosmetically.

Oh, and I took your advice and sprung for the WS-50's. I decided to be safe rather than sorry and I still have my warm-weather tires on separate wheels in case we have a long warm spell

You wont have a problem... Just give it some cleaning once in a while.

Why do you think all of us have winter tires and winter exhaust?

j/k

With the invidia, I would be rather concerned about the Ti tips falling off within a year, not about the finish
