Default Wind Deflector

Ok, I don't have my owner's manual (not the original owner). I've searched the forums. I've looked all over the car. And I still need help.

How to you raise and lower the wind deflector? I tried to manually push it up, but it won't budge. I don't want to push too hard cuz I don't want it to break. Am I just not pushing hard enough? Is there a switch. I guarantee I'm not retarded, just a little slow sometimes.

Push harder.

Perhaps a little slow, but maybe also a little weak.

It folds towards the back of the car. UNLESS, it has been installed backwards, in which case, if you push it back, you'll break it.
So how can you tell? If it's installed correctly, the mounting screw are behind the windscreen. These screws are covered with black plastic caps (2).

I know this could be a helpful hint, make sure your pushing the wind deflector the right way! Push down towards the trunk and it will fold down, do not push towards the interior of the S. Thats a sure way to snap the thing right off those little hinges!

Your manual is probably in "The Hidden Compartment". If you don't know what that is, just do a search.

Also, some people throw the manual above the spare tire.

Sometimes, sorry Xviper sometimes I don't read all the replies from the post! I usually read the post and try to skim over the replies, occasionally I read the replies but miss a few! No pun intended!

The bigger one seems to work better. But I think xviper said that a screen in between the roll hoops works the best.
