I probably wonder about more trivial things than this as well... I just like to know what is going on under the hood.

Don't get me wrong, I like a nice blast of high-rpm fun as much as the next guy...but I also enjoy arriving at my destination knowing that I did it as efficiently as possible. There is something about going for that "perfect drive" that I strive for. At least on my drive to and from work. Maximum fuel efficiency, using the brakes as little as possible, driving as smoothly as possible.

Nothing makes me more uncomfortable in a car than riding with an erratic driver. An on-off braker, a throttle-stabber, a steering wheel jerker. People that brake UP HILLS!!!!

For as long as I can remember, I've always focused on driving smoothly and efficiently. Again, not including the occasional VTEC romping. Minimum changes in accelerations, whether its longitudinal during braking, accelerating or shifting or lateral during lane changes and curves.

Maybe I'm an odd-ball

I do almost everything the same way, trying to get the most out of anything I do, from driving to every day chores. I alway think about if a certain way was the most efficient, can it be done better.

May be I am a second odd-ball

Doesn't surprise me that some of you guys jump on his bandwagon simply due to his 'tenure' here, but if you read his condescending post to the other guy and my response which thanked him for his knowledge but suggested his negative attitude was unnecessary, you'll see that his response was about 100 TIMES as agressive as mine coulde ever have been construed. Does he really get spun up that easily after spending YEARS on internet forums? LOL

The only thing I called him on was that seizure-inducing avatar of his; I'm sure there are thousands of others on here that wouldn't mind seeing it updated once every 3 or 4 years. wink wink....

I'll be a paid member very shortly, and I'm more than capable of enjoying & maintaining this car without the blessing of one apparently knowledgable, but obviously hotheaded, enthusiast. Life goes on.
Your post was just as "aggressive" but in a sly, annoying, back handed way. Having the audacity to tell a long time member that he needs to change his avatar is just ridiculously stupid.

You're too new to realize that people often associate the avatar with the person. It's distinguishing and sticks out as someone scrolls through posts. They see his avatar and stop scrolling to read the post.

Like i said, wet behind the ears, and think you know it all. Let me guess, you're maybe around 18? Regardless, don't expect any help when you need it. After all, you know it all, and how people should post, and what avatars they should use. The only one who's attitude needs adjusting is yours. And no, sorry, using a a complement followed by a back handed immature statement doesn't make it ok.
