I bought my S2000 the weekend the first 2000s were released in the US. I didn't pay any dealer markup. But I did have to pay the sticker price, zero discount. Same weekend other dealers had $10,000 dealer markups. I felt lucky, but may have had to do with the fact that I had been #1 on a wait list at the dealer for over a year.
I have 2 window stickers. One was actually used and the other was loose and still has the original backing on it. That one has the Honda form # on it on the bottom fringe. You can see it at the top of the image.
Interesting that the stickers were printed 4 months after the car came off the line. Made in August of 2008 and printed stickers December 8 2008 at 01:14:58 in the morning. Guess those were created upon arrival in the San Diego. Took four months to store, ship, and prepare.
^Not quite four months in your car's case, cosmo: MY09 VIN #100 was made in 9/'08, so yours was a late-August car, and that's an early-December sticker. That's great that you got two stickers -- I didn't know they made multiple originals.
Anyway, three months from factory exit to dealer arrival appears to be a good rule of thumb in general. For example, my car was a very-late-June '99 build, and I drove it home on Sept. 17th.
