Windows Always Down Crew
So I sometimes see folks with the top down and windows up, always found it funny since when you go to drop the top the windows go down automatically, but understand that some folks dont like the wind blowing onto them from the side. Post up!

It depends on the situation.
If it's cold out I'll have the windows up so the heat from the vents stays in the cabin better, or if I'm driving at high freeway speeds I'll have them up so I dont get beat to death by wind, but even then, its usually because it's colder than normal.

For me the windows are alway down love that natural air conditioning 80mph and two windows down. The top down with the windows up is only if the outside temps are below 40 degrees or its damp or raining. Now if the queen is in the car with the top down the windows are always up on the road. Its a convertible the windows should be down with the top down. Later BD.

If I have a passenger and need to talk to them about something, I'll put the windows up at highway speeds. If it's oppressively hot out and I'm stuck somewhere for a length of time (notoriously long traffic light, waiting on a train, etc.), I'll put the windows up and crank the AC.
TAD though.

Since I'm one of those people who will keep dropping the top even when its in the 30s, yes, I put the windows up on occasion. Better to be topless on a cold day with the windows up than have the top up and windows down. I know a few people who think it looks dumb, but 1 - who cares what other think, and 2 - they don't put their tops down unless its 60° or warmer.
No rules about windows though.
Also, back in the day, I put plexiglass in the roll hoops, which also helped cut down wind in the cabin, especially around 35-45 mph, aka city driving.

Windows up if it is cold (50 or below) or at night. I don't know why but I really enjoy driving with the windows up at night. On rare occasions or super long drives on the freeway I will put them up.

If I want to hear my music or talk to my passenger, the windows need to be up. Sure it looks goofy but the only people around me to pass judgement are Toyota Rav4's and I can't be bothered to care about their automotive opinions.
Also hearing loss. If the top is down I generally have my ear plugs in but in the event I don't, the windows must be up going faster than 50mph. Convertibles are cool but not worth-hearing-loss-cool.

I commute around 700 highway miles a week in my Estuque, top is always down, and if the top is down, so are the windows. Dressing appropriately is key, light long sleeve at 2pm into work, comfy jacket at 2am on the way home.
The cold and wind tolerance comes from using a motorcycle for the same commute for several years, now that I am in a cage, its no big deal
