I think there's some confusion in the actual truth and people's idea of the truth. There may have been a change in space between MY2000 (mine) and MY2001+, I don't know, but I don't believe so. With the full-height screens, you need to place your hand along the top of the screen when folding it backwards to prevent the screen from rubbing against the back window...it still folds back without a problem, but if you were to push it back by placing your hand on the face of the screen, the top would lightly scrape along the window. People have tended to blow that out of proportion over the months/years to say "Don't get a full-height if you want to put it down while the top is up." Maybe an OK idea to avoid trouble, but technically not accurate.

Full height on MY04. Just lower by putting hand on top of screen. Fingers brush rear glass.
