well, thanks for the replies...i actually do have the car here. i was actually hoping someone who had done this already would have the exact measurements handy, and i would just use those.

i did first try measuring it myself, but i got 9 5/8" instead of 9 3/8". so i'm glad brykel had responded. it totally slipped my mind that i could just lift up the compartment. so, sorry for being "lazy"...i really didn't want anyone to go out of their way to measure for me (thanks if you did) -- i was just hoping that someone would respond if they'd already done something like this so i'd know exactly what they used for dimensions, and that everything would fit right.

i'm not a measure-and-build-it kind of guy, so i naturally would trust someone else's specs rather than my own measurements (fearing they would be off). but i guess this is as good of time as any to start.

 

You've seen the Ztec Camera Mount, right?

It bolts right in, using the existing windscreen mounting holes on the secret compartment lid.

Partly, I was lazy, too. And most people here know what lengths I'll go to to help someone out. The other part was mainly the issues of having the precise measurement for the mount you are about to make based on what we now know are pre-existing holes?
