Windsheild Decals??????????
#21
I have decals on my car. I am sponsored by ICCRACING.COM and the banner on the windshield didnt crumpled but curved int eh center instead of going straight across.... because our windshiels are so rounded...and for people who dont believe in banners on their car.. how does 30% off of cost sounds for have a sticker on your car that can come off whenever you want, instantly.?

Ace, don't listen to all the haters on this board. Do what you want & like. If everyone did the same thing everyone else did, the world would be a boring place. If it was me, I'd put one on, however I'm worried I wouldn't be able to see the red/green lights at every intersection. Besides, some of these people on this board are older people who are too conservative or whatever (All you peeps flame me all you want ), if you know what I'm saying.

It's a mistake to think you have more taste than someone else when you merely have different taste.
For example, we didn't buy the S2000 because we had more taste than a young civic buyer, we just had more money and could afford to indulge our preference.
This applies to most (and mostly useless) discussions about which kind of anything is better. Pompous complaints about "rice" kinda put one in the same category as the guy with a "piss on Ford" decal.
Taste is personal, highly subjective, and falsely superior. For example, I personally wouldn't make most of the cosmetic changes that many have made. Neither would I call them a waste of YOUR money.

Perhaps the thing about taste is correct, but I am not so sure about the money part. If some guys wants to buy a Civic for 17-18k, and then drop 20-25k worth of mods and custom work to the car, that is by no means a cheap investment.
And these are not "pompous complaints" they are merely opinions. If siskel and ebert gives a movie a thumbs down, would that be considered a pompous comlaint?

How about the safety issue of seeing though that part of the windshield? I have problems now sometimes seeing them if I am first in line at a traffic light. Might make it harder?
On the issue of taste, I remember a few years back when 60 min did a piece on artist. They had this guy putting regular bathroom urinals on this lady's wall at about 20K a pop. I think she had 5. They didnt even WORK!
You just never know about an individuals taste.

And by they way, when isn't an opinion a "pompous complaint?" Aren't people just being a little unrealistically sensitive? Lets be realistic here, if you put something out for the world to see, experience, enjoy, etc., you better bet there's going to be opinions. And to expect ONLY positive opinions is just plain unrealistic. I guess this means everyone who happens to disagree with something is "pompously complaining?"
