Default Windshield Brands

I got my windshield replaced last week and what I would suggest is to avoid AP Tech glass if at all possible. There are many distorted areas throughout the entire windshield, it's not funny.

Go OEM.

Are you going to try and live with it or get it replaced?

That would really suck, I hate when you see that in glass, my replacement windshield looks pretty good.

What are you guys doing about the window moulding, new or reuse? The place that did mine reused the mounlding, and the windown cracked a month later. I was alittle pissed off.

I replaced my windshield at 5 years because of pitting with a Safelite glass and PPG molding. No waviness, but it pits just as easily as OEM. either way, I would definitely replace the molding - imo its better than stock, plus, it dries out over time.

One of the mobile glass companies, I called and got quotes, and asked what brand glass and seal they use.

I got a PGW glass (formerly known as PPG, and it is an OEM equivalent). Got it done for $255 and the guy came to my work to do it. $255 included the glass, molding, and the labor.. Seems like a pretty good price.
