Default windshield liner deformed?

So I cleaned off some of the residue left by the windshield tape I took off, and I noticed that the liner/seal on the windshield is kinda deformed now, I tried tucking the underneath back in but it doesnt want to give, has anyone had this problem? If so, whats the best way to fix it?

Thanks

I have some deformation on the liner you are speaking of but mine is from a new windshield install and the seal was not set right at the time of installation. If the tape you removed was attached to that seal in some way, you may have disrupted its "seating".

Pics would help but if I am visualizing this correctly, the only way to get it back in is a new installation, which by default, usually destroys the seal and the windshield in the process, ultimately meaning new windshield.

Mine does it all the time, if you get a small screw driver or a knife you can tuck it back under the trim.

That deformity comes and goes with temperature. Just try to massage it back into place. Try it when the temps change. It's not a "seal". It's not there to keep water out of the interior. It's more of a "finisher" for appearance. Your windshield is totally sealed from water by other means.

Mine's been that way since I first bought it (used).
It's annoying, and I can't get it to stick back in.

Yeah, I have a bit of that ever since I had the windshield replaced. I hated to have it done, but it was so pitted that at sunup or sundown, all I could see was spots!
