Windshield Repair/Replacement
i just got quoted on a new windshield replacement for $220 but it is not a factory replacement. they use a glass from a company called PPG. do you guys recommend getting a factory replacement or is this aftermarket glass ok?
my windshield has a lot of small small chips in it so it just looks dirty all the time and it's hard to see when the sun hits it. is it repairable?

PPG is Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Pretty much the best there is.
Stay away from XYG and other aftermarket brands. I think XYG is Chinese or Japanese glass and it's terrible. My windshield was replaced with this by the previous owner, and by adjusting my mirror it created a huge crack in a circle behind the mirror mount.
GO PPG!
