Be careful, there is no clear coat on that paint under the tape.

I didn't like the tape. First, it's tape ... it's TAPE!!!! Not even paint ...
Secondly, the car looks better with matching colour windshield frame than black when top is down. When the top is up, chances are it's either at night or it's raining outside, or you are trying to bang through 1000 miles on a road trip. In that case, I don't care much about the looks.
So tape is no good

No tape. I prefer it without the tape. Maybe it is just the yellow and black that goes so well together.
I know the 2009s did not have the tape factory installed, but I would still remove it if it had been.

Mine still have the tape. I might do this. I've read a few posts around here where folks ran into trouble getting it off and when they did they had paint defect under the tape. Those posts gave me pause.
