Default windshield wiper replacement options?

what are my options in replacing the wipers? mine suck_ass in the rain.. sigh

1. do u replace the whole arm, or just the rubber inserts? the arm certainly would be easier to replace

2. is oem better fitting than aftmkt? what model & where can i get aftmkt wipers?

thx!

Options are OEM or aftermarket. I got new OEM ones and they still suck. I got the rubber replacement and its very easy to swap out. Just remeber which side was the longer one when you put them back on the car. They are all the same at Honda.

I'm a big fan of the Bosch Micro Edge Excel. I replaced the whole arm.

40920 Micro Edge Excel Passenger's Side; Length=20"; Adapter U1 (Adapter pre-installed.)

How do we know you haven't already replaced your windshield wipers, and you're just posting this thread as a joke?

h and a accessories'
its 6.18 for the pair of wiper inserts. replacing the whole arm is overkill i think. you probably just need new blades. they are pretty cheap , i replace twice a year depending how they are lasting.

I replaced mine recently w/ PIAA teflon wipers. Probably overkill, but they are effective. The water kind of beads off las if I'd applied Rain-X to my windshield. Plus they cost about as much as the premium Bosch arms ($20) when you order from Tirerack. They would have been less if you order them w/o the aero foils attached to them. I ordered around 10 am, they shipped from NV about 30 min. later, and were at my front door about 24 hrs. later.

I went with the PIAA too, but I used their silicon blades. There's actually a bit of prep work you have to do with them (wash the windshield with soap and water, apply their prep solution using a pre-moisented cloth, run the blades dry for 10 minutes) but the water just beads right off. They're by far the best wiper blades I've ever used. I doubt I'll ever switch to anything else.

The prices you found were about what I paid also if I remember correctly. I like them a lot better than the OEM wipers. I really didn't like the OEM ones. They were noisy and didn't wipe very well. I ended up changing them a month after I got the car. I've had the Bosch ones for over two years now and they still work well. I also use RainX on the exterior of my winshield. My car is my daily driver.
