Winter of 04-05 Used S2000 Prices
Here was my deal.
Date I purchased: January 31, 2004.
Car: 2003 Sebring Silver/Full Red, 3,800 miles (original in service date was May 03, so car wasn't even a full year old yet)
Price asking orginally: 31,900
Price asking during winter: $28,000
Price I got it for with snow on the ground, last day of the month: $24,500 (with taxes, tags).
Just look for the deals and buy a convertible in the winter.
good luck.

Well, I posted above that I was looking around at a few options. I have now made my purchase so I can chalk another good deal (at least in my mind) up for the board.
Got a sebring 2002 with 27,000 miles plus a few small extra's which include:
-OEM Factory alarm
-Cleared out front headlights
-Cleared side markers
-Rick's full size windscreen
-Voodoo shift knob
-Painted red calipers
-Rick's "S" front and rear badges.
-Upgraded stereo headunit to a nice panasonic one (looked it up and its about $300 bucks new. Not bad I'd say)
Got it $20,000 even.
I think the best part about the deal is it wasn't a "mystery" ebay car that has had multiple owners and questionable history. This is a one owner car that has been changed with mobil 1 using gm synchromesh in the trans... basically, the guy knew what he was doing which means that I wont have to take on any problems due to the previous owner. Plus he put on new S02's in the rear. Not bad....

that was a deal ...22k dude wtf buy it
why do I want to throw away 2k...I've already found two more that I could get for 22k...I'm in no rush and if it takes me a few hours over the next month to find my deal I'll have 2k to buy myself a new MTB.
Some people are way to eager to spend more than they should or need to.
Oknessad, that was a members car correct, the guy in Fresno? Thats a good deal and as you said he seems to know how to take care of the car.

to me it seemed that the S2000's acceleration was better than my 94 base eclipse...so as long as it's not worse than that i'm happy.
