Default Winter in Aus

Yesterday was the June Honda Sports Car Club of NSW drive day. We headed south to the Southern Highlands via some great high speed country roads. Once in the high lands there were plenty of mountainous twisties to test the mettle (not to mention brake pads - eh Iggy) of drivers of Honda S2000s, Type Rs and an NSX.

And what an amazing day it was. Totally clear, sunny, and only a little chilly up in the highlands. Can't ask for much more for mid-winter.

We had lunch at an out of the way cafe in Camberwell which has an amazing lookout towards the southeast. Happy birthday to Iggy for his 21st.

Headed back via Berry (hmmmm, donuts), and Kiama (blow hole) then back up the freeway.

There are some pictures and three MPEG's at the following address

Oh, and for those that don't know what a Kookaburra looks like check out the last three photos.

Some club members had the audacity to sit at his table but he quickly persuaded them to move on. He was not at all afraid of humans. And considering that beak I can't say the opposite is true.

Amazing, all those people on the left side of the road and you never had a collision with oncoming traffic!

Is that a Type R with Prelude wheels? My god ... He's even in the HSCC as well. Crazy you tell me, those wheels are so damn heavy compared to the stock ones he's got. What are people doing to their cars?

I asked him about the Prelude wheels. He said that his ITR wheels have sliks on for the track and he uses these for the road.

And thanks for the birthday wishes Aus

Not only do you drive on the wrong side of the road, but you have your seasons reversed too.

The right way counterclockwise just like our hurricanes (not cyclones) . Bet you can't say that.

Is it still anticlockwise if you look at it upsidedown?

From those Mpegs, it appeared that some prefered the right side of the road in turns!

Enjoyed the photos.
